it's not even such a problem that they don't want to give out these codes
it's that they open the box, take out these codes, and still present the game as a full new copy. if they want to take out the codes, and expressly tell everyone up front that they have opened the box and taken out the code and are thus selling a less complete product than other stores, whatever.
thing is, we probably wouldn't have known about this if not for the news stories and the average duder probably still doesn't know
they also probably don't care about onlive, but whatever
