If they had left Phoenix out of Apollo Justice entirely, the game would've been decent. It just would've been kind of bland instead of offensive.
And the worst part is he really didn't need to be in it. The Phoenix in that game may as well be a completely different character. They could have just named him something different, and the game would just be a lackluster installment in the series instead of a complete trampling of it.
