launched it too early and launched it at too high a price are the two main flaws there, though they didn't really launch it too early as it's got some quality games on it already. they assumed people would be done quicker - hell they assumed THEY would be done quicker with some of these games (f'ing kid icarus is WHEN goddammit). that said, holiday season is their turf, in games, price, and even a shiny new color. that's why i really can't see any of the redesign rumors THAT big take effect. now i'm sure they're considering it, but this soon? an attachment to add stuff can work, but that'd have to come first. and if it's gonna be something like an analog stick, it'd end up having to be like the Wiimote Plus - packaged into games that use it. from there a remodeling with an analog can work, which could make sense if it's next year's Christmas. but until then, not happenin'. and i'm not sure what design they'll use for it either. there's some space under ABXY that can fit, but the only port available is the recharge port.
September should be interesting at least on that rumor.
