Obviously he's at the hospital because he lost part or all of a finger on his left hand and is trying to type in spite of this absence.
Edit: Ah. I see. I almost also made a joke about the "r" key also falling off of his keyboard, but somehow "later" actually manages to be spelled correctly. It's a shame; would've been funnier if there were no r's at all.
