I will say this:

Thin crust is not inherently bad, but it is not given justice at a vast majority of pizza places.

They don't make it well enough and so it is not enjoyable to eat whereas it is almost impossible to screw up a normal pizza. Unless you are somewhere that specializes in thin crust pizzas I think you are more likely to get a quality pizza by ordering it normally.

Even with that said I think I would prefer a quality normal pizza to a quality thin crust pizza. But I can see the appeal and so thin-eaters are not weird.
