From all the previews I've seen it looks like the exact opposite of all of that.

Sell it to me.


Deeply existential, focuses almost entirely on the apes and their rise to a kind of quasi-humanity, brilliant storytelling where entire scenes are driven without any dialogue, great pacing, phenomenal special effects, and a wholly satisfying climax and resolution.

It was awful. They had a cool premise but mucked it up with the one dimensional perspective. I was greatly disappointed and would probably give the film a 3/10.

Andel just dissed the movie. That's seriously the most glowing endorsement I can think of.

I think this topic is meant to be ironic.

You like the Pirates movies, so yeah, I wouldn't recommend you go see it.
