The only "element" of DotA 1 that LoL lacks or has not in some way improved upon is "denying".
This has actually forced people to XP zone their enemies in different and more difficult ways and I think the harass and footsies game is stronger in LoL as a result.
I completely love DotA mind you, but it is a game that eventually ran into the walls and limitations of the Wc3 engine. But feel free to explain how LoL is 'easymode dota for people who suck at DotA'.
