Example: If you give up chocolate, you CANNOT eat chocolate chip cookies (the chocolate is a reason to eat chocolate chip cookies). If you give up eggs, you CAN eat chocolate chip cookies (the eggs in the cookie dough aren't the reason why you'd eat the cookies)
