According to reports, Triple H actually called Sammartino to convince him to accept the offer. Sammartino has serious and long-standing issues with Vince McMahon so Triple H contacted him and told him not to worry about Vince, and to think about his legacy and educating today's audience about his career instead. Bruno was said to be "not impressed."
At first I was thinking "Ah, Trips, that shrewd businessman."
But then I was like "Wait, what possible reason could he have to try and manipulate Bruno into the Hall other than legitimately respecting him and wanting him there?"
By the way, XIII, if you could send me the chat log of the Raw with the shoot interview and for Money in the Bank if you have it, I would make you a delicious chocolate e-cake in gratitude. (Actually hell, if it's not too much trouble, I'd take the entire month's worth of logs. Don't worry about it if you have to search through them to try and find them or anything tedious like that, though.)
