... why else would I want to cheer for the Knicks if not for Lin? I've got my own favorites and neither of my teams are very popular or have been in the playoffs for several years now so I don't readily jump on bandwagons. I cheered for the Knicks during that run because it was fun to watch. You know, stuff that gets popular usually gets popular because a whole bunch of people like it. The guy was good and seemed to do a better job leading his team than supposed all-stars had done all season.

Oh and on a related note:

However, on that day, reports came out that the Houston Rockets had made an offer to Lin that might make it difficult for the Knicks to keep their guard. Since then, Lin has accepted the offer, and the Knicks have let him go and MSG is now trading at approximately $35.50, a drop of 8.5% in two weeks.
