Seinfeld, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Parks & Recreation. They were all average or worse in their first tenth, yet they're very celebrated because of the other 9/10 that aired.
the difference is Parks and Rec had less than 3 hours of mediocre (which was still better than the first half of the wire season 1) before it started getting really good
I watched almost 6 hours of the wire and literally didnt enjoy any of it
