And the population of the red states growing will not matter as their Hispanic populations increase. Hispanics might be socially conservative, but that is not the main issue they vote on.
As long as conservatives maintain majorities in these states, additional liberal residents of these states only increase conservative power in the federal government. And considering Hispanics voted for Bush, I wouldn't count on them voting solidly for Democrats in the future.
