Super Star Ultra also added some neat new modes, probably my personal favorite being Helper to Hero, which is doing the Arena (A gauntlet of bosses from Super Star) as one of the Helper Buddy powers instead of Kirby. It can be pretty tough to beat it with just one power, but I managed to do it with a Plasma Wisp. There’s also a mode where you can play through various levels in Super Star as Meta Knight, and believe it or not, he’s more broken in this game than he is in Brawl! That’s not even an exaggeration! The only part that is even remotely challenging is the new last boss they added for this Meta Knight mode, who is basically a Meta Knight clone with some beefed up powers. Because as we all know, the only thing that can beat a Meta Knight is, of course, another Meta Knight.
I know I’ve only kind of lightly touched on all the games, but the core of Kirby is in all of these games. It’s full of fun, lighthearted platforming, and playing around with the various powers the games have to offer is a blast. If you’re a fan of any other Kirby games and you haven’t played this one, you need to check it out. You won’t regret it.
