I dunno man, you could buy a new computer with that sort of money, for one. You could literally go on a trip across the Atlantic and spend a few days in (probably) any country.
Course I'm not one to say what one should do with their money. It just bothered me a little.
Why would it bother you? How is a trip any more valuable than headphones? How is a computer? It's a hobby, a passion of mine. Plus I was in the UK and Italy for over two months last year. I'm all traveled out. I'm not spending $1000 to say I did. I'm spending $1000 so I can get hundreds of hours of these things. Thousands, even. I don't get how it can "bother" someone. I mean, the tubes on the amp are rated for 5000 hours apiece.
