I've said it before, but IMO one thing I think TNA desperately needs is a legitimate B-show.
You're absolutely right that they are a lot more focused lately, but that in part comes at the expense of a lot of people under their employ that they just aren't using.
A 1-hour B-show on Spike on Saturdays or something would solve that, and going live every week gives them ample chance to tape after (or maybe even before) every show.
