68.5) Talespin Opening Theme

It's a pretty fun intro, but the whole oh-ee-ay, oh-ee-oh thing is working against it rather than for it. As with Duck Tales I'd prefer if a trumpet or some other instrument were blaring out these notes because the vocals kind of annoy me. The ending section (0:49 onward) is the only thing saving this from a terrible placement.

Starts off kind of meh- very subtle, and then it builds up into something beautiful but not particularly memorable. So same type of deal with One Day only without the really pretty string solo at the end really. Nice chorus though!

This is a song I used to enjoy a lot more when I was younger, but it hasn't really aged all that gracefully. Based on what series this is, you kind of have to compare My Lullaby with Be Prepared and it pales in every way, shape, and form to it. The lyrics had the potential to be good, only the writers let themselves down. The rhymes are so basic that it's kind of sad: pretty/kitty and howl/growl just don't compare to sordid/rewarded and era/nearer. And "Scar is gone, but Zira's still around to love this little lad til' he learns to be a killer with a lust for being bad" is just an abysmal line and I'd like whomever pitched it to be shot in both kneecaps. The ending is really this song's only saving grace. "And then our flag will fly against a blood red sky. That's my lullaby" gives me chills, albeit little chills.
14.75) Call Me, Beep Me!

Well I pretty much grew up with this so obvious bias is at play, but this is a really good theme song. Probably my favorite Disney original series opening when coupled with the very hype-worthy intro animation, and the full version ain't too shabby neither.
