The whole thing just screams "planned out between Yamada and Celes" (not the killing part, obviously, but yeah). The whole story about the Justice Robot is just weird.
Thing is, that's just way too obvious, so it has to be something else.
I agree. I am currently working under the theory that the picture was staged and that Celes used Yamada as a pawn. Whether she actually intended for him to die, and who actually did the killing I don't know, but I am pretty sure at least the first part of this story is a Celes plot.
Also like how she breaks her own rule that she's been adamantly drilling into our heads.
