uh because one is males idealized versions of themselves, while the other is males idealizing women as objects?

no they are not. do you seriously think EVERY male character in games is attractive on even CLOSE to a similar level as women? outside of queen brahne, I cannot think of an ugly portrayal of a woman in video games. with males characters being sexy is not necessary, while some obviously are really attractive, gaming as a whole does not portray men as sexual objects.
