One thing I'd like explained by those who complain about sexism in media:

Can a woman be depicted as sexual, without the depiction being sexist?

I feel like this is always a part of it. For example I never really cared about the allegations against Bayonetta. She's hypersexualized to hell and back (probably literally in her case), but she's a complete badass who goes around kicking ass and not giving f***s. She's sexualized, yeah, but I don't think her character is sexist, and there's a difference there. Same with Catherine; aside from the visual motifs it's not sexist at all, aside from maybe the titular character.......but then again, that's kind of the point there, without saying too much about it.

also how do you complain about Female Shepard being sexualized when the male Shepard was literally based on an underwear model

Hell, BioWare vetoed all the ones that looked like Barbie dolls. I thought the one they picked was much better in comparison.

basically, what she's complaining about is not unique to video games at all; the "sex sells" phenomenon is ingrained into our culture. It's just amplified because it's a genre dominated by males, and some games do take it to the extreme. Not saying that's okay, but then again I also don't agree with the notion that makes games inherently sexist (for the most part).
