Stifled's Top Three Poison Pokemon

Poison is probably my least favorite type. With the exception of Toxic, Toxic Spikes, and Poison Powder, there really isn't much usefulness in Poison type movies. Having a Poison type also puts you at risks against Psychics, which is bad. But there are still a few gems among the filth (literally lol).

#3. Vileplume

I like this whole line, but Vileplume is the standout for me. It's so flamboyantly awesome. A gigantic flower with a bottom half that kind of reminds me of a toadstool. Everything about that thing looks so suspect, which makes it cool.

The movepool is fun to choose from, but grass moves mixed with Toxic, Toxic Spikes, or Poison Powder is pretty standard fare for a lot of grass types. In a way, Vileplume won over its competition because it looks cooler than the others similar to it.

#2. Venomoth

Venom + moth = Venomoth. On one hand, har har har lame. On the other hand, I really do love these play on words puns Game Freak use to name their Pokemon.

This is the serious business version of Butterfree. With Butterfree, you have a cuteness about it that makes the girls go aww! But with Venomoth, there's no cuteness. Just sleek badassery in a deadly, winged package.

One thing that puzzles me, however, is the random inclusion of Psychic moves to its movepool. I found this odd with Butterfree as well. I'm not exactly complaining, but perhaps one of them should have doubled as a Psychic type? Just a thought.

#1. Crobat

Glorious speed. This thing is fast. Attach a Mean Look to this speedy bad and it's the best roaming legendary tracker there is. In fact, I named mine MEANLOOK just for the occasion!

The design I'm kind of iffy on because...big purple down syndrome bat? I dunno about that. I mean the purple part I can get on board with because it's a Poison type, but the spacy look on its face has to go.

Pure usefulness wins the day for Crobat here, however, because high speed and attack stats make Crobat quite the force to be reckoned with.

Fun Fact: My ex-girlfriend challenged me to a game of Pokemon once. Her team was garbage. I thought I was going to handle her entire team with just one of my Pokemon. Then she whipped out her Crobat. She literally must have spent her entire game powering up her Crobat because that thing was crazy strong. I managed to beat her, but she dropped three of my Pokemon in the process.
