I feel like Snow needs his own game or something, so we can really have a chance to have fun with his character.
I think they just should have started the story at a different point and condensed the plot we know into an arc rather than the whole thing. The game felt very tunneled because of it, didn't give the well rounded view of characters we're used to in Final Fantasys. Even if they just integrated the whole 13 days thing into the game rather than as flashbacks it'd have added so much flesh to everything before the l'cie arc began.
