Topic	If you were remaking the X-Men in current day, what could Magneto's holocaust be

So what if we wanted him in his 40s or 50s, what would be an atrocity that would fit his backstory and character? The Srebrenica massacre? Too soon? Magneto's backstory wasn't established until about 40 years after the holocaust. Think there would be an uproar for changing Magneto from Jewish to Muslim?
