I was thinking more that you could show a random clip from either of those to a facebook lawyer who would either quit on the spot or jump out a window at the thought of having to deal with the endless PR nightmares and legal troubles that a metaverse would bring. Half the shit that people do on VR Chat would be the kind of thing a senator would hold up in a congressional hearing to ask Zuck why his company allows it to happen. The fact that they ALREADY had to add personal bubbles because of people being virtually groped just tells me they didn't do their research.

They're thinking microtransactions, and all the money it'll bring in. Second Life is like 20 years old, and it's because it makes money, despite being niche. They aren't thinking PR and whatever else, just $$$ and that's it. I think it's dumb, and I'll never join this meta thing... but humanity is becoming more and more reclusive, and physical contact/meeting people randomly at physical venues is not what it is use be. Movies like "Gamer" are pretty accurate portrayals of what the future of humanity will be like.
