It is, however, classist. The_Viscount posted... I'm not sure how familiar you are with adulting, but most people don't buy tuxes, they tend to rent them afaik. Like a wedding dress, there aren't many occasions to wear a tux. And keep in mind if you're a groomsman (the other big time you'd wear a tux outside of your own wedding), it usually needs to match the other groomsmen so you're not even getting a second use there. Indeed. A suit? Sure. You can wear a suit for lots of stuff. A tux? Not so much. Unless you're making a habit of going to balls, a tux is really only useful for your own wedding, and that's ideally a one-time thing (or maybe once every decade or two if you like renewing vows). --- This is my signature.
