I mean, there's a literal "Duluth Model" indoctrination within the police to automatically assume the man is the aggressor and the woman is the victim... A domestic violence situation is pretty f***ing scary for a male victim, specifically b/c he won't be believed if he defends himself, so the only thing he can do is try to flee the home, if that's even an option. It's true, and it's a real problem, but using it to justify such an extreme panic response still isn't reasonable, even though there are certain individuals here who would. --- This is my signature.
