I've been using a Ridge wallet for a few years now. Had a cheap knock-off version for about a year before that. It was alright, but the quality is so clearly better from Ridge that I think it's worth it. I took the cash clip off entirely and only use it for cards. I keep a separate money clip for cash, but I rarely use it. Most of the time I'm paying with my phone anyway to get perks back from Samsung Pay.

I do highly recommend slim wallets. Doesn't necessarily need to be Ridge, though. But I can confirm that Ridge does make high quality stuff. It's been a few years and there's still not a scratch on the matte black finish.

I suggest getting a really dirt cheap one first and using it for a bit to get a feel for them. See what options you use and don't use, and what problems you have. Then find a high quality one that has exactly what you need.
