| MrMallard 01/27/22 5:13:12 AM #3: | It would have been pretty good without Venom. Eddie Brock is the worst part of the movie, and his inclusion is what really fucks the balance up. Concluding the Harry Osborne story? Pretty great. Sandman? Looks great, fights are great, character is sympathetic and well-realized. Those two plot points work in tandem. The conflict between Harry and Peter over the Spiderman persona gels with Peter's conflict over Flint Marko, a man who was involved with Uncle Ben's killing. And the symbiote is the glue holding it all together. It wouldn't have been perfect, but it would have been much better without Venom. The symbiote should have set up Eddie Brock for Spiderman 4, but by using executive influence to force Venom into the movie which already had two villains, it weakened the movie to the point of the reputation it has today. I just think Spiderman 3 would have been a 7.7 score on IMDB instead of a 6.2. It wouldn't have surpassed Spiderman 2, but I don't think it would have killed the franchise. --- But for you I came this far across the tracks, 10 miles above the limit with no seatbelt Now Playing: Minecraft, Pokemon BD, World Flipper ...
