There is no edge to it. You fire someone because they don't know how to do their job, or constantly are at odds with other staff, not because of a love tap on the back of the head because someone isn't thinking straight, or is spacing out which can cause a bigger issue especially if they are handling equipment. Again, as I said before, you don't do it all the time, but to call it "Assault" is ridiculous. It can be viewed as wrong, and management should talk to them about it, but they aren't "Assaulting" you.

I guarantee you, if you do that to someone at work and they complain, you'd be given a stern talking to. If you did it again, then you'd be fired.
