Johnston was arrested in Montana today after failing to show up at a Toronto courthouse to begin serving his 18 month PRISON sentence for violating a judge's HATE SPEECH order as he was attempting to seek ASYLUM there for civil rights violation!! US Border Patrol said they arrested Johnston for illegally entering the country on FOOT near Plentywood after they were requested to track down someone lost near the Montana/North Dakota state line A person found "wandering" around was later identified as Johnston, who is a canadian fugitive He was taken back to the border and to the RCMP and into custody as Johnston told through his lawyer, Ian McCuaig that he wass seeking political asylum due to treatment he has experienced over the eyars of political persecution for his right-wing views by the Canadian Government He said he's served 5 months in prison for what he called for his "conservative" views and his hate for certain groups of people, particularly muslims and middle eastern people He was convicted back in July on 2 counts of contempt after spending months inciting his followers to defy alberta's public health measures and then threatening an alberta health services inspector and causing a disturbance over mask wearing protests He was ordered to stop defaming restauranteur Mohamad Fakih after repeatedly calling him a terrorist and baby killer. Fakih is known in the community for his charitable acts such as distributing thousands of free meals to frontline workers but Fakih said it was an act to show fake kindess and accuses his "people" of having ulterior motives to take over the country Johnston was hoping to seek asylum in the US calling it the "land of the free" where conservative views are not silenced and the freedom to call out people of colour who are NOT friendly to western nations and that Canada is oppressive to these views.
