Setting up on Flynt's Rapidash was a massive pain in the ass because it kept putting Kricketune to sleep. But eventually, I was able to set up two X Defends, an X Speed, and two Swords Dances, and then Kricketune swept the rest of his team... until his Infernape survived with a Focus Sash and got a critical hit with Fire Punch, which ignores the defense boosts from the X Defends and easily KO'd Kricketune.

I had that battle won and then some bad luck screwed me over. Oh well. I'm taking a break to go eat dinner and do some other stuff, so I'll come back either later tonight or tomorrow and try again.
