From what I heard, negligence needed to be proven. I can't see a mistake in a quick moment when someone is resisting you to be necessarily negligence.
Dude..she didnt just pull and fire. She grabbed the taser, which she explained to the jury had a completely different feel and mechanism when removing, held it up in her hands for a few seconds, then fired. She had plenty of time to realize she had a real fuckin gun in her hand. If the situation is so stressful that all of that was ignored you shouldnt be a cop at all.

Racial bias is also a very important thing to discuss here. Her level of stress might have been higher due to his race. Its a sad reality that the usual suspects refuse to acknowledge in these situations. People of color arent given the benefit of the doubt or seen as innocent non-threats always. Its happened to me, its happened to millions, it continues to happen, but people for some reason wanna pretend it doesnt.
