Its completely in good faith. Look at the cops who got away with a questionable shooting. None of them fell to the ground crying, oh god, I screwed up. Arguably she entered her own guilty plea on the road that day. If the cop who shot Jacob Blake had fell on the ground screaming, oh god, I didnt mean to shoot him that many times then wed probably have seen a trial and guilty verdict there too. Her own emotions sank her case from the start.
I hate to say it, but being a good person got her a guilty verdict. I know thats not the message anyone wants to take away from this. It feels wrong. It feels dirty. But its true. If she had kept it together at the scene and been like, I changed my mind at the last minute and did what I had to do to save my partner who was in danger of being dragged to death by the car then she might have walked.
