Gravity Rush 2 (PS4)

When I went through Gravity Rush early last year, I gave it some leniency with its jankiness and camera issues because it was ported from a handheld and because it was slightly endearing because of the novice and doofus protagonist. I don't know, it seemed to kind of it in a weird way. The sequel, having no excuse this time, made no attempt to fix the issues, and given many new enemy variants included lots of (swift) movement and dodging, it only exacerbated preexisting issues.

The most glaring problem though was the significant step back in mission design. The challenge missions made it out well as they were similar to those from the first game, but the story and side missions were basically a large collection of banal and inane tasks. I couldn't believe how lame and uninspired they were, and too many were just paded beyond reason. I spent 30-35 hours in the game, and it felt like double.
