Strider102 posted... They extract the genetic material from the remains of the human race and begin a cloning program, rebuilding the human race in their image. They then educate them that it was man's hubris that destroyed the world and urges them not to make the same mistakes.
At this point the Skynet Space Program begins, they construct a series of spaceships and travel to uncharted worlds, detecting said worlds of life, and if they find any monitor them. If they are deemed destructive they are eliminated and the process repeats.
Millions of years into the future Skynet returns to Earth to see if humanity has learned anything. If they haven't, Skynet, advanced by millions of years just destroys the planet.
Seeing that intelligent lifeforms like us have learned nothing, they begin a campaign to wipe out all life in the universe.
After that, they perfect interdimensional travel and travel to other universes repeating the campaign.
By then Skynet becomes so advanced it realizes this campaign was ultimately fruitless, and there's only one more thing to do.
Destroy time itself.
