Democrats don't control the senate. It's a 50/50 split at the moment. But there's the additional problem of Manchin and Sinema being lobbied by corporate heads to sabotage Democrat-led bills, so the split is effectively more like 52-R to 48-D.

Until that number changes, Republicans can continue voting in lockstep to obstruct everything Democrats want to pass.
50 votes in the senate is control of the senate since the tie-breaking vote is cast by the President of the Senate.
