| Topic | I realized something dumb with AC Valhalla's update reinstalling the whole game |
| Bio1590 12/14/21 11:59:43 AM #1: | I don't know how it works on Xbox at this point, but on PS4/PS5 it still first installs the game from disc (if you're doing PS4 on PS4 or PS5 on PS5), and while that's happening also starts the update download in the background and then installs the update when it's finished. So basically now if you're installing the PS4 version on a PS4 from a PS4 disc, or the PS5 version on a PS5 from a PS5 disc, the game will actually get installed twice. And it's not like these are small update files either - on PS5 it's 39 GB and on PS4 it's 65!
