Topic	People didn't like Chrono Cross because it subverted expectations.

I preferred it because I played it before Chrono Trigger, so when I finally went back and played Chrono Trigger it just felt less interesting to me by comparison. Though I think the franchise gets way overpraised far beyond anything it deserves anyway.
