It just kind of sucks for people who have no idea why they didnt get their foodEspecially since many might not know you guys are basing how much you want in tips on distance, and some are giving a good tip, but still getting rejected because they feel they might get a higher one from someone else... Which is why restaurants having their own would be much better. Especially since that would mean people would know they are getting food, rather than pray and hope for it Do you understand the reason restaurants dont have their own drivers is the same reason DoorDash doesnt label drivers as employees? Its because of labor costs. It will never happen. They dont want to have to pay someone a full time wage plus benefits and all the things that come along them being employees. Delivery IS a premium service. Its not necessary. Its a service you can have at a significantly higher price. If you want food delivered to your doorstep thats just how it is. There is no reason for companies to take on that cost when customers can just come get the food themselves. Basically like valet. You can have them park your car for a premium or you can just do it yourself. Exact same thing bro.
