There are several reasons I've come to this conclusion. I've always been fascinated with these reported experiences, and I had gone deep down the rabbit hole researching them, reading any book I could get my hands on, reading IANDS articles and testimony after testimony. I can go on and on about how the reported experiences are different from culture to culture implying that even without being part of a particular religion, our social upbringing and at least familiarity with religious concepts subconsciously affect what people report to experience. But even within cultures, the experiences from person to person all contradict each other greatly. In a few cases people actually reported seeing family members who were still alive, that doesn't make any sense.

The real nail in the coffin is that NDE's can be created in the lab, not just with psychedelics but either with G forces, or with magnets, when a person is nowhere even remotely close to death.
