Conservatives say these jobs are only meant for teenagers, but that'd mean they could only realistically be open from 2-ish to 10 on weekdays if their entire low-level workforce was teenagers, not even accounting for any extracurricular activities.

Of course, however, the narrative has changed from that to telling workers it's a job anybody can do and therefore they don't deserve a living wage until they pick up a "real" skill (and then being butthurt when their local McDonald's is now understaffed and struggling to find workers).
