Yes and no.

They just have no facts in this case and it shouldn't have gone to trial. At this point, the Prosecution is just trying their best to make the Jury do anything to convict him, but unfortunately there's nothing here they can do but appeal to emotions and try scummy tactics.

Unfortunately for him, the Judge is seeing right through all of it though, which means he's a good Judge. He's been more than fair, no matter what anyone says. It's just the Prosecution is doing so much bad faith acting he has no choice but to chastise them constantly.

So when you see Binger here acting like a total idiot, it's out of desperation, not necessarily because he actually is an idiot. Everything he does is because it's literally the best case scenario for him at this point.

It's just good to be disgusted and laugh at him because he's a Prosecutor and the majority of them are scum, and he has a particular arrogance about him and seeing him humiliate himself over this case is really satisfying.
