Imagine being in high school and you're like "Man! Super Metroid was cool, but there literally hasn't been a new Metroid game in 8 years!! Can't wait to finally play that new one! But maybe next week" Then as you're microwaving some Totino's Pizza Rolls, your friend calls you on the house phone and tells you to get the FUCK over to Hollywood Video and rent Metroid Prime RIGHT NOW! Cuz it's out, and literally the best game ever!

So you drop your plate on the floor and run the FUCK over to the rental store and rent that bitch. Then you pop it in and it's more glorious than you can imagine!

Graphics LITERALLY can't get any better than this! We've reached the peak! Fuck trying to awkwardly lose your virginity before graduation; THIS is true nirvana!

So what was it like for you? What did you love about Metroid Prime? >_>
A friend of mine. He was a play tester. Started during the NES days. Metroid Prime, and GTA vice city were his last two games. He loves both of them. But he told me why he left the industry was because both games reached about 75% completion. In terms of it being bug free and polished. Not sure about content wise.

He told me that back in the NES. When you were on Metroid they polished it to the point. Where if you break the game. Eventually it'll freeze on you. Which pretty means the game is completely polished. He said around the N64 and PS1 era devs stopped reaching 100% polish. He said he was okay with where the games were at. And could look the other way.

But come around the GameCube, ps2 era. He said he couldn't take how unpolished games were becoming. So he left and found a different career. When he looks at modern games today. He just smiles because he can imagine how broken they are. Tells me they probably don't even reach 50%.

Just and interesting antidote that I'll always remember. I'm not crazy about Metroid. But my brother adores the series. And can't wait for the Switch port
