You can agree or disagree with the logic, but it doesn't really change the logic. And as long as some people agree with it, it's going to be a problem.

And as long as we keep coddling people employing such "logic" instead of telling them to stop being histrionic morons, people will continue to agree with it. The problem's not going to go away by humouring these idiots and hoping they eventually change their minds all on their own. Their minds will need to be forced to change.
