It is largely believed that it wasn't slaves, but farmers during times when they couldn't work on farms (I.E. the flood season). Which isn't to say slavery didn't exist in ancient egypt, it most certainly did. Just that slaves didn't build the pyramids, largely because they weren't trusted with the task of building tombs for their kings and queens. --- After 16 years, I have decided my signature will NOT be about my job!
