He was in the warm up pen at the Texas Region Junior High Rodeo when the horse "reared up" and fell on top of him as people were initially feared he had disappeared when he wasn't seen at his area Horses generally rear up or stand on their hind legs when they're objecting to being restrained as a vet said the horse, that also died had a heart attack or brain aneurysm and died on top of him Legend already won 2nd place and was preparing for the finals when the tragedy happened His mother, Raegen told KYTX "As i was crying out to God to save my son and i was begging him not to take my son, i knew Legend was going to lead thousands of people ot Christ. That was his mission in life" Legend was a rodeo aficionado as he opened up his first BANK account with the help of his parents to deposit his winnings His father Kelly said "He did the GOAT tying event, the calf breakaway event and he was a header in the team roping event. If he touches more people after death than he did before, then his life was worth it" The Texas Junior Rodeo Association wrote on FB "Our rodeo family is hurting big time tonight.
