A common symptom of autism is having difficulty moving beyond first impressions (especially ones that they attach a stronger emotional response to), leading to an unusual amount of particularly stubborn confirmation bias. That means some autistic people are particularly attracted to conspiracy theories that they hear before they learn information that would debunk the theories, and tend to be difficult to dissuade of them once they've accepted them. --- This is my signature.
