You earn money being a viable entertainer so that viewers actually watch and support your content. But that is a month to month thing. Churn is a weird experience. Some people could be fans for life or flake out after one or two streams. The unpredictability of it all makes it....unappealing to make a career out of it. Same deal with YouTube or Patreon.
