TC, you're setting up yourself for failure trying to compare this game to Ultimate, when Ultimate has way more content than this game could ever have. At best, NASB gameplay gives much more freedom on what you're allowed to do than Ultimate (competitively) with a better online experience, but it is absolutely severly lacking in everything else that would bring in the casual audience to buy up the game. If this game does fail, it would be because they concentrated to hard to please the competitive crowd rather than going for the casual audience. Remember, casuals fund the game but the competitive players keeps the game alive. You need both for a game to be a success. And this is coming from a person who likes this game over anything Smash has released other than Melee.

Does the Nick game have crossplay?

Oddly, but not surprisingly, no.
