My ONLY concern with that is if I do confront him, especially outside, it would get rid of any claims of self defense. The whole "you can shoot someone trying to rob you" isn't as simple as people make it seem. As I understand it, if you actually go out and put yourself in potential harms way you may be partially at fault and can't claim self defense.
