Usually they have a list of body shops for you to take your car to that they work with and the bill gets sent directly to insurance. That's how any incidents that I've been involved with were handled. My fault, their fault, single vehicle and multi vehicle, all done the same way. Except for the list of approved shops. I have always had my choice of any shop.
